The Unfamiliar
This gallery tracks the birth and rise of 'Vibrant Realism'. It starts with works dating back to the 1980's and progresses through to the turn of the 21st century. Some works such as 'The Trench' are based on real life places I have stumbled across while others such as 'Steps' and 'Stairs' are from my vivid imagination. All have a meaning, for example, 'Ghost Fish' was produced at a time when large drift nets were used to fish the sea and destroyed anything in their way, including dolphins and other unwanted catches.
