The Travelling Artist
A driven and inspired artist and film maker, Ian has decided to jack in his office job and combine his love of travel and creative skills to achieve a more thrilling and intense living experience. While travelling Ian will run art workshops with the aim of inspiring children to find there creative voice.  The art that is created by children in these workshops will be handed on to the next group of children.  This sharing of art will enable the children to feel connected, through art, with other cultures and nationalities. Ian will also be exploring the work and lives of artists to find out more about local art scenes.

Starting in the Depths of the Amazon, Ian will be travelling though South America, armed only with a Paint Brush and Paper. The trip will take him to the majestic Iguzu Falls, the frozen wonderland of Patagonia, to the hidden treasures of the ancient Inca societies, and the wild life sanctuary of the Galapagos Islands.

Ian will tell the story of his experiences and adventures through a series of paintings and film.  Exhibitions of this work are planned for 2008.
